You're reading: Water supply in Donetsk region disrupted due to damage to Donetskoblenergo power grid

Water supply to Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region has been disrupted due to power being cut to Voda Donbasa water company equipment, the press service of PJSC DTEK Donetskoblenergo has said.

 “The two high-voltage lines of 110 kV Raihorodska-Bantysheve and SlavTES-Raihorodska were damaged on June 4 in connection with hostilities and, as a consequence, Raihorodsky Vodozabor substation, which delivers electricity to the objects of municipal company Voda Donbasa in Sloviansk district, was de-energized. As a result, water supply to Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk was disrupted,” reads the report.

According to the press service, the repair crews of DTEK Donetskoblenergo are not able to carry out reconstruction work, as military operations are being conducted in the region.

In addition, six villages, namely Andriyivka, Krasnoarmiyske, Karpivka, Tykhonivka, Brusivka, and Karavan, in Sloviansk and Krasny Lyman districts of Donetsk region remain without electricity because of the fighting.
