Wizz Air, the largest low-cost air carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, on March 14, 2013 will launch daily flights between Kyiv and Budapest.

According to a company press release, from February 10, 2013 the number of flights between these cities will increase from three to four per week, from February 28 – to five, and from March 14 – to seven flights a week.

“The number of bookings has increased significantly due to the fact that AeroSvit canceled a number of flights to Kyiv and passengers are forced to seek alternative routes or types of transport. Now Wizz Air performs three flights per week from Budapest to Kyiv Airport,” reads the press release.

Tickets for additional flights are available on the airline’s Web site, and passengers are to be offered 2,500 additional seats in February and March.

As reported, Wizz Air and Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv) declared a special price offer – UAH 349 plus a booking fee – for passengers of the canceled flights of AeroSvit (Kyiv).

Thus, passengers of AeroSvit who have valid tickets for flights between Kyiv and Budapest or Warsaw, can purchase tickets through the Wizz Air information center and use the airline’s services when flying from Kyiv to Budapest and Katowice.
