Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has arrived on a state visit to Greece, the presidential press service has reported.

Soldiers from the Greek guard of honor lined up near the plane’s steps.

In Athens, Yanukovych is to hold talks with Greek President Karolos Papoulias, Prime Minister George Papandreou, and Parliament Speaker Philippos Petsalnikos. During the visit, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral documents, in particular, on air services, on cooperation in healthcare and justice, and in the sphere of investment.

The president will also participate in a Ukrainian-Greek business forum.

"This is the first state visit by the Ukrainian president to Greece since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Greece, the 20th anniversary of which be marked at the beginning of 2012," the presidential press service said.
