You're reading: Yanukovych dismisses number of the National Bank of Ukraine staff and appoints new ones

Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed a number of staff members of the National Bank of Ukraine and appointed their replacements.

The relevant decree, No. 545/2010 of April 16, 2010, was posted on the official Web site of the head of state on Friday.

In particular, the president dismissed the following NBU staff members: Anatoliy Danylenko, Mykola Onischuk, Volodymyr Poliachenko, Petro Sabluk, Anatoliy Fedorenko, and Arseniy Yatseniuk.

Yanukovych appointed Iryna Akimova (the first deputy presidential administration head), Pavlo Haidutsky (an advisor to the president), Andriy Portnov (the deputy presidential administration head), Viktor Fedosov (the deputy head of financial department at Hetman Kyiv National Economic University), Valeriy Khoroshkovsky (the SBU head), and Roman Shpek (an advisor to the president) to the staff of the NBU.

This decree also canceled president’s decrees No. 384 of February 28, 2005, No. 782 of September 25, 2006, and No. 448 of May 16, 2008.
