The talks on natural gas price between Ukraine and Russia have not stopped, but have slowed down, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"We are moving forward. But, I would say, slowly, so far," Yanukovych told journalists in Munich on Friday.
According to the president, meetings between Ukrainian and Russian representatives are held virtually every week, but at the moment due to the cold weather these contacts have been cut down slightly, since the parties are more concerned with domestic problems caused by the severe cold.
The Ukrainian president said that there had been no active negotiations recently, but only talks by phone.
