Ukrainian and Russian Presidents Viktor Yanukovych and Dmitry Medvedev will continue to discuss economic cooperation issues at a business forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"Today we instructed our governments to continue to work on a number of areas that are mutually beneficial for us, both for Ukraine and Russia," Yanukovych said at a joint press conference with Medvedev in Kyiv on Monday.

He said that this concerned such industries as shipbuilding and the aerospace industry.

"There are a number of energy projects that create conditions for economic growth. And, of course, the most important thing is obtaining a financial result," Yanukovych said.

He noted that Ukrainian and Russian representatives would be able to express their views at the forthcoming Ukrainian-Russian business forum.

Yanukovych said that the two presidents would favor the creation of joint ventures, possibly holdings and corporations, which would complement each other, as well as make the Ukrainian and Russian economies more competitive.
