You're reading: Yanukovych orders probe of church blast

The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has met with the heads of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in Crimea and ordered them to investigate the cause of an explosion at the Intercession Church in Zaporizhia.

Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko, Ukrainian Interior Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov and Head of the Presidential Administration Serhiy Liovochkin participated in the meeting.

"We have to solve this crime immediately. And it is very important to find out what the motivation for this crime was, and what the criminals wanted to say with this explosion – that is what society expects from us today," Yanukovych said at the meeting.
