You're reading: Yanukovych orders the setting of proper prices at hotels

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Vice Premier and Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov and Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to regulate the prices of hotel services at an economically reasonable level.

A relevant instruction has been posted on the president’s Web site.

"We’re also speaking about the period of the holding of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship finals in Ukraine," reads the statement.

According to the Council for Tourism and Resorts of Ukraine, some Ukrainian hotels plan to raise the price of their services during Euro 2012 by ten to twelve times.
