Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that he is pleased with the course of the reforms seen in Georgia.

“It’s nice that the reforms that you have started [in Georgia] are
having a positive impact on the lives of the Georgian people, and that’s
good,” he said at a meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol
Vashadze in Kyiv on Friday.

However, Yanukovych noted that trade and economic relations between
the two countries are not developing in the way “that we would like them
to.”

Yanukovych also invited Vashadze to attend the football match between England and Sweden that will be played in Kyiv on Friday.
