Ukraine is ready to discuss all progressive reforming concepts for the UN Security Council that could lead all of its member states to a broad consent, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"I think that it is impossible to achieve global progress in each of the key spheres of our cooperation without more effective and adapted to the reality of the 21st century United Nations Organization. The process of reforming of the UN, and first of all of its Security Council, should be deepened," he said at a plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly on September 26, according to the presidential press service.
The president added that demands of all regional groups, particularly the East European one, should be taken into account in this process.
