You're reading: Yanukovych signs law on ratification of Ukraine-Russia readmission agreement

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law to ratify Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on readmission, the president reported on its official website on Wednesday.

Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament) ratified the given agreement on June 5, 2013.

The agreement determines the order for the receipt and transfer of persons, who are in the territory of the contracting parties, for violation of the legally established rules of entry/exit and stays of foreign citizens and stateless persons.

Moreover, Yanukovych signed a law on ratification of the agreement between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates to extradite violators, and the law on ratification of the Ukrainian-Norwegian agreement on cooperation in nuclear and radiation security sectors, termination of the operation of Chornobyl nuclear power plant and transformation of ‘Shelter’ facility in ecologically safe system.
