Yanukovych: Subway construction in Kharkiv to be funded at same level as in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has promised to finance the construction of metro in Kyiv at the same level as the construction of a subway system in Kyiv.

KHARKIV - Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has promised to finance the construction of metro in Kyiv at the same level as the construction of a subway system in Kyiv.

"I have signed the order. Kharkiv will be funded at the same level as Kyiv. But we also have Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, Aug. 22.

Yanukovych also promised that Ukraine would adopt a state program for the construction and development of subway.
