A bill on the ratification of the Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych submitted bill No. 0010 to the parliament, reads a posting on the Verkhovna Rada, Web site on December 25.
The explanatory note to the bill reads that the document is aimed at the implementation of state procedures necessary for the introduction of the Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance in Ukraine.
The explanatory note also reads that the convention creates a flexible universal mechanism of cooperation between states in the sphere of recognition and execution of rulings on recovery of alimony for children and other family members.
The explanatory note also reads that the convention does not foresee payment of contributions in connection with the ratification and does not require expenditures from the national budget of Ukraine.
