Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said he believes that the opening of the stadium in Lviv will be "a real treat."
"When I was flying here, I had the impression there were still many problems with the construction. But the builders have assured me that the sooner we leave, the faster they can continue their work. They also guarantee that everything will be ready for the opening. The stadium will be opened, I do not doubt it… I do not doubt that this festival will take place and that it will be unforgettable," he said on Friday during a visit to the Lviv Arena stadium.
At the same time, the president did not say whether he would attend the opening of the stadium on Saturday.
The opening will take place at 1930 on Saturday, October 29.
