LIVADIA, Yalta – Ukraine does not say "no" to integration alliances such as the Customs Union, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said on Thursday, July 12.

“We do not say “no”. We are seriously studying these integration
processes [Customs Union, EurAsEc, Common Economic Space]. I am sure
that integration processes in the European Union and the Customs Union
will be mutually complementary,” he said in a statement for the press
after the fifth session of the Ukrainian-Russian Interstate Commission
in Livadia, Yalta.

Any integration processes bring positive results, he added.

Yanukovych thanked Russia for inviting Ukraine to participate in such alliances.

“We welcome our colleagues, our friends, our neighbors so actively
proposing us to join this integration process [Customs Union],” he said.
