Ukraine wants to step up bilateral cooperation with Belarus, Victor Yanukovych told Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
"A new stage begins in the relations between our countries," the Ukrainian president said at a bilateral meeting with Lukashenko who attended the inauguration ceremony in Kyiv, the Ukrainian president’s press office said.
"We are willing to consider together with you all the main strategic areas of developing our relations. I am ready to work with you to ensure the dynamic growth of the economic neighborly relations between our countries," Yanukovych said.
