First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema has said that Ukrainian troops will soon resume the active phase of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern regions of Ukraine.
“For a peaceful conduct of the election, the Ukrainian troops and law
enforcement officers have halted active actions today, so that
residents of the eastern regions could get to the polls and vote.
However, the Armed Forces’ were on high alert, we completely isolated
the areas of the regions in which terrorist organizations are located,
and the active phase of the antiterrorist operation will continue soon,”
he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Sunday evening.
