The leaders of the Batkivschyna, UDAR and Svoboda factions Arseniy Yatseniuk, Vitali Klitschko and Oleh Tiahnybok, are addressing residents of Kharkiv who gathered for a rally from the roof of a van, Svoboda's press service has reported.

According to the press service, about 10,000 opposition supporters gathered on Constitution Square.

According to the Ukrainska Pravda online newspaper, Yatseniuk said that the opposition had filed a report to law enforcement agencies regarding a crime committed through the creation of artificial obstacles to the opposition rally in Kharkiv.

“Lawmakers filed a statement on crime. Who gave the instruction to take a hundred municipal vehicles to the streets, denying citizens the right to get home on public transport? Who gave the instruction to bring special equipment and block all roads?” Yatseniuk said.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s main office in Kharkiv region said that the rally was being guarded by 100 law enforcement officers.
