You're reading: Yatsenyuk displeased that less than half of funds meant for army armament spent

Just 45 percent of the first tranche of government-allocated funds meant for army armaments was used, Ukraine's Premier Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.

“I consider it is unacceptable the way these means are used. Just 45 percent of money was used from the first tranche, which the government allocated for national security and defense. And I even don’t talk about the extra Hr 9 billion, which we also allocated. That’s why I order security and defense agencies to establish order when using money and buying equipment,” he said opening the government’s sitting on Aug. 27.

He said about the actions of the National Guard, which rapidly arms, modernizes and uses funds.
