Ukraine's daily losses due to the military action in the Donbas amount to Hr 80 million; the country needs to make peace, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“Ukrainians need peace. War costs us too much; human life is priceless. Today, many Ukrainians have died defending the country… Russian bandits have caused the deaths of many peaceful citizens, thus the price is too high. Every day of war costs us Hr 80 million, therefore peace must be established in Ukraine,” the prime minister said when opening a sitting of the government on Wednesday, Sep. 17.

He once again claimed that there had been two possible outcomes: “bad and very bad, and the bad [option] was chosen.”

“Right now, we must decide how to live with it… are we standing for peace? Positively yes, we are,” the premier said, and added that Ukraine needed peace at any cost.
