The Verkhovna Rada should adopt a law on local referendums, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“The parliament should pass a law on local referendums,” he said at a
meeting with representatives of Donetsk region on Friday, adding that
the respective amendments should be introduced to the law on an
all-Ukrainian referendum.

According to representatives of the region who attended the meeting,
this will help people in the region to legally decide on “vitally
important” issues for them.
