The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is launching a broad program of lending to households for the purchase of boilers, replacing the use of gas, and intends to compensate for up to 20 percent of the cost of such boilers, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“We are starting a large-scale program of lending to the public for the purchase of boilers that replace the use of gas. The government will compensate for up to 20 percent of the cost of boilers,” he said at an expanded meeting of the government.

Yatseniuk added that the government intends to implement this program jointly with Oschadbank and forecast that about 33,000 households could by the end of the year get a loan and government compensation for the replacement of boilers.
