The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision to declare a state of advanced readiness for any emergency across Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“We’ve declared a state of advanced readiness for any emergency in the territory of the whole country,” the premier said, while participating in a government visit to the Emergency Situations Service in Kyiv on Jan. 26.

The emergency in the country will be regulated in accordance with the Ukrainian Civil Protection Code, dated October 2012.

Yatsenyuk said the government of Ukraine has decided to create regional emergency coordination centers called “regional commissions on emergency situations.”

The prime minister added that a regional commission on emergency situations will be set up in every region, modeled on the state commission on emergency situations.
