KHARKIV - Another Lenin monument has been damaged in the city of Izium, Kharkiv Oblast.
“A report was received at around 0400 (on Tuesday) that a monument installed outside the House of Culture of the Izium locomotive-repairing plant was damaged. The law enforcers who travelled to the scene found the lower part of the monument in place and the top part lying about. The information about the incident has been entered in the uniform register,” the Kharkiv Regional Police spokesperson told Interfax-Ukraine.
This is the third case of a Lenin monument demolished since last Sunday. It was reported that one was torn down in Freedom Square in Kharkiv on Sunday night and another in Derhachi in the early hours of Sept. 30.
