The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction at the Verkhovna Rada does not intend to back the dismissal of Education and Science Minister Ivan Vakarchuk, Deputy Verkhovna Rada Chairman and one of the leaders of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc Mykola Tomenko said at a briefing.

At the same time, Tomenko said that his faction decided to consider the issue on the dismissal of ministers only if there are candidacies to replace them.

He said that the parliament should consider the issue on the appointment of candidacies for the vacant positions at the Cabinet of Ministers.

Tomenko expects that the last plenary week will be dedicated to the staff issues.

At the same time, Tomenko said that on June 25, the parliament is unlikely to consider appointments.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on June 23, Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Party of Regions faction Dmytro Tabachnyk, Yurii Boiko, Vasyl Boiko, Anatolii Tolstoukhov suggested that the parliament dismiss Education and Science Minister Ivan Vakarchuk.

Vakarchuk has occupied this position since December 2007.
