Abu Dhabi – An embassy of the United Arab Emirates will open in Ukraine in the first half of 2010, Ukrainian President Vikcor Yushchenko has said.

"We have agreed with the president [of the UAE] that the United Arab Emirates will open an embassy in Ukraine in the first half of next year," Yushchenko told reporters in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

After the embassy opens, cooperation between the two states should be boosted, the Ukrainian president said.

Yushchenko said that during today’s talks it had been agreed that within ten to fourteen days a delegation from the UAE, including experts in agriculture, engineering and the rocket industry, would visit Ukraine.
