Georgia has not made any new decisions on joining the sanctions the Council of the European Union declared regarding Russia.

“In June 2014 the Council of the EU set 12 different sanctions against Russia over the events in Ukraine. On June 23, 2014 Georgia joined one of these sanctions related to exports of products made in Sevastopol and Crimea. On July 19, 2015 the Council of the EU automatically extended these sanctions for another year. This is not about any new decisions of Georgia on this regard,” the Georgian prime minister’s special envoy for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze told reporters on July 30.
