The Interior Ministry of Georgia and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation signed a new agreement on co-operation in the fight against crime and terror, the press service of the ministry said on July 28.

The agreement specifically relates to exchanges of biometric data on wanted and detained persons, as well as joint steps in the field of war on terror, crime prevention, and co-operation on protection of human rights and freedoms.

“The new agreement will facilitate our fight against crime and terror more actively,” Georgian Deputy Interior Minister Archil Talakvadze said on signing the agreement for Georgia.
