WARSAW, Poland (AP) — An opinion poll shows Poland's ruling pro-market party holds a comfortable lead over the opposition just days before the parliamentary election.
The Civic Platform party of Prime Minister Donald Tusk has 31 percent support and the opposition center-right Law and Justice has 21 percent backing, according to a poll published by Gazeta Wyborcza daily on Tuesday.
Three other parties would also enter parliament after Sunday’s vote, according to the poll of 1,000 adults carried out Oct. 1 and 2 by the OBOP center.
Palikot’s Movement, a new socially and economically liberal party, has 8 percent support, while the Democratic Left Alliance and the current coalition partner, the Polish People’s Party, have 6 percent each.
The survey had a margin of error of three percentage points.
