As summer approaches, there are a lot to do outside. Here’s a Kyiv Post guide:

Golf clubs
Kyiv offers a few options. The Kyiv Golf Center, located at Obolon Quay, is just a 10-minute drive from the city center. It is a good place for beginners. It has a small field of six holes and a two-story driving range for practicing. The professional coaches can be hired to train the beginners. One-hour golf course goes for Hr 290.

Another golf club, GolfStream can be found in a Kyiv suburb. It offers a nice golf vacation with services for children and adults. Individual lessons with a coach on a golf course are Hr 1,000 for hour. For Hr 700, one can play nine holes for 1.5 hours.

Yachting
One of the most romantic activities, yachting is becoming more popular. One company, Our Fleet, offers more than 48 yachts for rent. The price starts at $270 per hour. Visitors can choose among motor yachts, sailing yachts or powerboats and work out the most scenic route.

Skydiving
Skydiving can be done from several drop zones near Kyiv. Para-Skuf Association on the drop zone Borodyanka offers single jumps only. You can also undergo a training program there. The price is Hr 450 for one jump. Chayka drop zone offers a professional training course for Hr 10,130. The price for the first jump course is Hr 4,000. A tandem parachute jump costs up to Hr 2,150.

Horseback riding
Horseback riding combines sport and entertainment. The average price for an hour of  horseback riding in Kyiv is Hr 300. Here are several popular equestrian clubs in and around the city.

Wakeboarding
One can practice this extreme sport only in summer, when the weather is warm enough for swimming. It combines the elements of water skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing. The biggest wakeboard club in Kyiv is X-Traction, located in Druzhby Narodiv Park. There one can try both circuit and reserving cableways. The club offers training with professional instructors and rental of all types of equipment.

X-Traction Club is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., closed on Monday. The wakeboard base is located in the X-Park in Druzhby Narodiv Park in Kyiv. The price for one hour of sliding goes from Hr 195 to Hr 325.

Running
Running is not only one of the healthiest ways to stay fit but also a way to enjoy solitude outside. If you prefer running with a companion, join a club. Hardening, discipline and safety are the main advantages of unning clubs. The Nike Running and KM Running Club are the most famous ones in Kyiv.

Bike riding
Even though Kyiv is still far from being bike-friendly, exploring the city on a bike with the Kyiv Cyclists Association is an option. It offers various routes in and out the city for both beginners and professionals. Also the organization offers free trainings which come of a great help. For more information, visit www.avk.org.ua.

Jump rope 
Kyiv-based Jump Rope Open Air offers fitness and aerobics. The training takes place in picturesque Park Slavy in Kyiv’s Perchersk district, Holosiivsky Park and Kyiv Botanical Garden near University metro station. Morning exercises are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30 a.m. and last for one hour. One can also join evening groups Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. A five-month season ticket is Hr 500.
