You're reading: Dereck Chisora promises 8th-round knockout of Vitali Klitschko

While new political peaks remain to be conquered for Vitali Klitschko, he is doing alright in boxing.

He will defend his WBC heavyweight champion title on Feb. 18 against British citizen Dereck Chisora of Zimbabwe.

This will be the eighth attempt since 2008 to challenge the title of Ukraine’s 40-year-old star.

Despite the fact that the challenger is much younger at age 28, most think that the elder Klitschko brother will win the title once again and claim a seven-digit check.

It does not mean, however, that the boxers are not going through the usual ritual of trash talking through the media, all in a bid to heat up interest in the Munich match.

Chisora predicts he will win in an eighth-round knockout, while Klitschko vows to teach his opponent "a lesson."

In Ukraine, the fight will be broadcast live Saturday on Inter TV at 10:30 p.m. and again on Sunday at 6:10 a.m.
