Misirli Ahmet, a virtuoso darbuka player from Turkey, will give a concert on May 24 in Kyiv’s Palats Ukraina.
Darbuka is a Turkish name for a goblet drum, but Ahmet learned his skills in Egypt. He is said to have a unique technique of playing darbuka, allowing him to hit the drum with incredible speed.
Apart from the concert, Ahmet will share his skills at the darbuka master class the day before the concert, on May 23.
