The New Old Flea Market

Those who enjoy browsing flea markets need to mark Dec. 7 in their calendars. Kyivans will be selling their old treasures at the New Old Flea Market event. New crafts will also be available from a hand-made goods fair. So those who need inspiration for Christmas gift should take their chance.

International Blues Festival

Best blues and jazz bands from Ukraine and the world will perform at this year’s International Blues Festival on Dec. 6. The Brothers (Ukraine), Eirik Bergene Trio (Norway, Ukraine), Train Four Blues Band (Russia, Ukraine) are the three headliners of the festival.

British Theater in Cinema: Of Mice and Men

The Broadway production of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men” that ran in Longacre Theater in 2014 is now to be screened at the Kyiv Cinema. The cast is led by James Franko, Chris O’Dowd and Leighton Meester. The screening is in English with Ukrainian subtitles.

Winter Festival

Winter Festival is a great chance to dive into the holiday atmosphere even before the holidays kick off. The festival will include a gifts fair, a live music stage, the kids’ corner with the numerous attractions, hot beverages, tasty food and, of course, a big Christmas tree.

Kyiv Music Market

Organizers of the annual Koktebel Jazz Festival are opening this Kyiv Music Market with several live performance stages. Visitors will find a sale of various music-related items like vinyl records, gramophones, tape recorders, music instruments, old issues of music magazines, books and other paraphernalia.

New Year’s Creative Goods Fair

Ukrainian designers of clothes and accessories, producers of shoes, cosmetics, masters of culinary arts and ethnic crafts will get together to show off their stuff and give master-classes to visitors. The charity auction is also included in the program.

 Jazz-pop with Jamala

A great experimenter and owner of a truly unique voice, Jamala always manages to deliver an impressive live show. The concert will feature old hits and new songs, including those from the soundtrack of “The Guide” movie, a new Ukrainian hit currently screening across the city. Jamala, a Crimean Tatar by origin, was a star of this movie also. Hurry up with tickets, as only fan zone tickets are left by now.

Charity Bazaar

Charity Bazaar is organized annually by the expat community and international business owners in Ukraine. This year it brings together representatives of 32 embassies that reside in Kyiv. They will sell their national food and beverages at the venue. Traditional dancing and music from all these countries countries will be performed at the venue. All proceeds go to charity, as the name implies.
