Solo show by Svyatoslav Vakarchuk 

Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, frontman of Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy, will perform solo once again. In December his charity show “Vnochi” (“At night”) was sold out. Vakarchuk will rerun “Vnochi” in March. Most of the tickets are already sold, so hurry up. After Kyi,v Vakarchuk will take the show to Lviv and Odesa.

Mood to Swing

The festival of swing music and dance Mood to Swing promises to make its attendants feel like in New Orleans of 1930s, when swing was twisting skirts and touching souls. Both participants and observers are welcome.

Opera weekend: ‘The Magic Flute’ and ‘Orfeo ed Euridice’

Two recorded operas of 2013 Bregenz Festival will be screened in Kyiv. “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and recorded in German will be screened on Jan. 24. “Orfeo ed Euridice” by Christoph Willibald Gluck will be screened in Italian on Jan. 25. Vyshyvanka exhibition

An exhibition of Ukrainian traditional embroidered shirts vyshyvankas displays the history of Ukrainian embroidery and its traditional symbols, many of which are 2,500 years old and root in the Trypillian culture. The money from the exhibition tickets will be donated to Mykhailo Illyenko, famous Ukrainian director who has been trying to crowd fund his next movie “Toloka.”

Graphics and ceramics exhibition 

The exhibition “Koly” (“When”) brings together graphics by Nadiya Onyshchenko and ceramics by Olga Gavrylova. In their work, both artists explore the reality and imagination, cause and effect.

Pole Dance Star 

Passion, grace and flexibility will be demonstrated by the best pylon dancers of Ukraine at the championship in Indigo Club. The participants will dance to the live music by Denys Musayev and Katya Bright.
