American-Ukrainian art exhibition
A new exhibition in America House features traditional hand-painted pysanka Easter eggs by U.S. artist Sofika Zielyk and watercolors by Fulbright scholar Grace Mahoney, who has painted portraits of Ukrainian grandmas. Her watercolor series is called "Portraits of the Unlost."

Holi Color Festival
While Holi, a festival of colors, started as a Hindu religious festival, in today’s Ukraine it is also an opportunity to have fun while throwing colored dyes at each others The colors are non-chemical and will be sold on the site.

Jazz Under the Stars
Jazz music will be played under the starry sky at a music show at Kyiv’s planetarium. Ukrainian musicians will perform jazz classics under the starry dome of the planetarium.

‘The Audience’ in cinema
After playing Queen Elizabeth II in the 2006 movie “Queen” Helen Mirren has taken on the role once again in “The Audience,” a 2013 play staged at the Gielgud Theatre in London. The plot focuses on the audiences that the Queen has been giving once a week to the prime ministers since her coming to power in 1952. The recorded play will be screened in English with Ukrainian subtitles.

Young Fathers
Young Fathers, a hip hop band from Edinburgh, is set to give its first ever show in Kyiv. The band’s mini-album was named the Album of the Year in Scotland in 2014. In the same year they released their debut album, “Dead.” Their new record, “White Men Are Black Men Too,” is set for release in 2015.
