The Great Gatsby Ballet

“The Great Gatsby,” a popular ballet based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, premiered in 2014 and is back again for another performance. This modern ballet is directed by Ukrainian ballet star Denys Matviyenko, who also dances the part of Jay Gatsby.

Tokio Hotel

This former teen band from Germany was a huge hit in 2000s and played a big role in kicking off Ukrainian emo culture. Emo is a thing of the past now, but the band is still up and playing – though now with grown-up members and far less eyeliner.

Painting Kuindzhi’s “Sunset”

Want to discover your inner painter? At this acrylic painting class, participants will reproduce “Sunset,” a beautiful piece by 19th-century master of landscape painting, Arkhip Kuindzhi. Pikkardiyska Tertsiya

Pikkardiyska Tertsiya is a locally-acclaimed sextet a capella band. The group performs a range of enchanting songs in Ukrainian, including the heart-wrenching lament Plyve Kacha, which was sung during the public funerals of EuroMaidan protesters massacred by the Viktor Yanukovych regime.

Home and Decor market

The popular pop-up market of Ukrainian-made clothes Vsi Svoyi is now organizing its first market of locally furniture and home decor. Some 100 producers will sell their pieces, while the market’s food court will offer a variety of mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Fink (blues, indie)

British singer Fink, aka Fin Greenall, is best known for his successful 2011 album “Perfect Darkness” and 2007 song “This is the Thing.” At his Kyiv show, Fink’s musical trio presents their new album “Hard Believer.”

Street Food Festival: Georgian Food

The last Street Food Festival of this year is devoted to Georgian food, including cheese-filled bread, known as khachapuri, the bean dish lobio, satsivi walnut sauce, and more. Other cuisines will be represented too – including classical street food options like hot dogs and burgers. Hot mulled wine will be sold to ensure guests don’t get too cold in the partly outdoor space at Art Factory Platforma.
