You're reading: Face the consequences of a dynamic lifestyle

Dubbing new music styles “experimental” can make even the most obnoxious concoction of sounds appear avant-garde.

Zack Kouns from America and Rory Hinchey from Canada are doing just that by showcasing their recent experiments in the program called “The Consequences of a Dynamic Lifestyle.”

Although here “dynamic” doesn’t translate into rhythmic work-out beats, Kouns combines saxophone, violin, flute and vintage synthesizers with atonal melodies, often resembling chanting or a “cry of the soul.” Hinchey presents unexpected blend of sounds, at times resembling ethnic motifs.
