You're reading: A spring of rock

The legend of Ukrainian rock Oleh Skrypka is starting a tour across Ukraine to awaken the audience from winter hibernation.

Accompanied by his band Vopli Vidoplyasova, known simply as VV, he is planning to perform old and new hits in more than 20 Ukrainian cities.

The band has been around for an amazing 25 years and has delivered an impressive number of hits.

In fact, their tour is meant to celebrate the band’s anniversary this spring – and finish just in time for summer festivals to kick off, where the band is a regular guest.

Skrypka is behind some of the festivals, primarily Krayina Mriy in Kyiv that usually takes place in June.

The band’s website vopli.com.ua has a full schedule of the spring tour. So, if you can’t make it to the Kyiv concert, you can always catch up through April 27 in Ternopil.

Zhovtnevy Palats on March 9. 7 p.m. Hr 120-650.
