You're reading: British heavy metal stars will shine in Kyiv

One of the most influential British heavy metal bands will perform in Kyiv within what they refer to as their “final world tour.”

Known for a twin lead guitar style and operatic vocals, Judas Priest is going to deliver classical heavy rock compositions in their concert, giving all their Ukrainian fans the last ultimate metal experience.

The band formed in Birmingham in 1969 and has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide.

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford says the band’s “farewell tour” does not mean they won’t play together again.

“We have plans for a new album plus possible future releases and we would still consider doing the odd live show – if it is something special or for a great cause – but no more world tours,” he promises. We believe him. Sort of.
