Global street performer Dub FX is bringing his one man orchestra to Kyiv.
Born Benjamin Stanford from Australia, he is known for creating music with the help of live looping – recording and playing back audio samples.
He layers the recording of his voice on the recordings, making intricate hip hop, reggae and drum and bass rhythms.
The musician started singing with the Australian band Twitch, but then moved to Europe and went solo.
Now 28, he travels and performs with his fiance known as Flower Fairy, who helps Stanford sell his music and features in some of his singles. His lyrics are dense with meaning on themes of love and social issues.
