You're reading: Four ballets in one Georgian show

It’s like having four of your favorite desserts on the same plate. Nina Anianishvili, a Distinguished Artist of Russia and Georgia, is bringing an unusual treat to Kyiv: four ballets in one show.

Along with a Georgian troupe of ballet dancers, she will present “Duo Concertant” by George Balanchina, “Falling Angels” by Jiri Kulian, “Delights of Mannerism” by Oleksiy Ratmansky and “Sagalobeli” by Yuri Posokhov.

This is the first time Ananishvili will dance in Kyiv. She has a long history of performances on the world’s best stages as a dancer for Russia’s Bolshoi Theater and the American Ballet Theater.

The New York Times critics give her glowing reviews and it seems this chance to watch her live is truly worth taking.

The show is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Ukrainian-Georgian diplomatic relations.
