NEWS ITEM: President Viktor Yanukyvch threatened to “rip off” the heads of certain government officials after the Oct. 28 parliament election. The outburst came during a Sept. 12 economic meeting in Dnipropetrovsk after Economy Minister Petro Poroshenko, a multimillionaire and large automobile dealer, complained about the administration’s slowness in enacting a new and higher fee on car imports. “What are you saying and to whom? I will rip your heads off, very soon, right after the elections, if you will be speaking and not doing. I said the same to the prime minister [Mykola Azarov] and today I say the same to all of you in the first row.”
