The notorious ban on lace underwear in the Customs Union’s Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan went into the effect on July 1.
Technically the law was meant to affect only bras and panties made
of synthetics and therefore, in legislators’ view, harmful for health.
In reality, the new legislation will affect 90 percent of sexy underwear
sold in the Customs Union. The absurdity of such a move didn’t
sober up legislators. They vowed to keep fighting for the health of
people in the Customs Union. The next potential victims of the ban are
high heels and sport shoes with rubber soles.
