On Oct. 20, parliament failed to adopt a law that would allow soldiers to vote during the Oct. 26 elections in their place of service.
Some lawmakers of Yulia Tymoshenko’s Batkivshchyna party even didn’t
support the law. Ironically, her party campaigns with Ukrainian military
heroes and has put one of them, Russian-imprisoned pilot Nadiya
Savchenko, on the top of the party list.
