On Nov. 19, Ihor Plotnitskiy, the Kremlin-backed leader of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, challenged President Petro Poroshenko to a duel.
“The winner will dictate his conditions to the losing side,” he offered
in a letter. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said that the only duel
Plotnitskiy will get is with the Ukrainian judicial system.
