Ahead of the premiere of the final part of “The Hobbit” trilogy, a Moscow group of light artists announced it will install a projection showing the Eye of Sauron on a business center tower.
In “The Hobbit” universe, the burning eye is seen on top of a tower in
Mordor, the fictional region ruled by the evil Lord Sauron. Later the
group canceled the project. Ironically, in Ukraine many have been
mockingly comparing Russia to Mordor.
