NEWS ITEM: On Jan. 20 Ukrainian newspaper Dzerkalo Tyzhnya reported that three companies registered in Cyprus that own around 39 percent of the Ukrnafta oil company, have demanded $5 billion from the company’s major shareholder, the state of Ukraine.
According to Dzerkalo Tyzhnya, the companies belong to Dnipropetrovsk Governor Ihor Kolomoyskiy, who has been known to have a share in Ukrnafta.
