German Ambassador Hans-Jürgen Heimsoeth and his spouse Lizabeth Cerdelli-Heimsoeth said good-bye to Ukrainian and international friends during a farewell reception at the German embassy on July 3. Among the many guests were Petro Poroshenko, minister of economic development and trade, Iryna Akimova, first deputy head of the Presidential administration, Maryna Stavniychuk, head of the department for constitutional modernisation at the Presidential administration and Volodymyr Groysman, mayor of Vinnytsya. The Heimsoeths are moving to Paris where Ambassador Heimsoeth will be serving as Germany’s permanent representative to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.


The Kyiv Post is disabling its online comment section due to an increase in trolls, violent comments and other personal attacks.
