On Jan. 31, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine -- one of the nation's leading business advocacy organizations -- threw a party at the InterContinental Hotel in Kyiv for its members. More than 500 people showed up to hear about the chamber's plans for the coming year, as well as to enjoy a seemingly unlimited free supply of alcoholic beverages and food. The 2012 Chamber Annual Members Appreciation Reception ushers in the organization's 20th anniversary. The official part of the event included brief welcoming remarks from chamber president Jorge Zukoski and a new video that highlighted chamber membership benefits and 2011 achievements. The chamber lists 626 member organizations.
