F1 Powerboat World Championship

The second Annual Grand Prix of Ukraine, the international Formula 1 powerboat competition, took place on July 22. The competitions were supposed to last two days, but because of Saturday's rain, the teams from China, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Qatar and United Arab Emirates had to compete for all the prizes on Sunday.

Sami Selio, Team Mad Croc (Italy), took first place and Grand Prix of Ukraine World Championship Powerboat F1H2O. Teams from Abu Dhabi and Qatar took second and third places, respectively.

To win another prize – the President's Cup – teams had to took part in match racing. The winner was Philip Chappy of China's team.

Despite the fact that the F1 Powerboat World Championship is supervised by the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Anatoliy Prysiazhniuk, and Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine still doesn’t have its own team.
